CLAW & CO. AI virtual try-on

MAUK showcase store for beauty & nail brands

Shoppers see the set on their own hand before they buy.

A fully working demonstration store MAUK built to show beauty brands generative virtual try-on. A shopper uploads a hand photo, picks a design, shape and length, and sees a photorealistic preview. The store also has an AI stylist, bundles, subscriptions and regional currencies.

The problem

What needed solving

Nails are bought on looks, and a product photo on a model's hand doesn't show a shopper how a shape and length will look on theirs. Generative AI can show that, but only if it is reliable, affordable per preview and fast enough to keep someone in the checkout.

The solution

What we built

A complete storefront with photorealistic try-on on the shopper's own hand, plus a try-on service that salon websites can add to their own pages.

Core functionality

  • Photo-based virtual try-on by design, shape and length
  • AI stylist
  • Bundles, subscriptions and gifting
  • Regional currencies
  • Try-on that third-party salon websites can embed

Business impact

What it achieved

  • Try-on survives an AI provider outage

A second provider takes over automatically.

  • Embeddable by third-party salons

Only approved websites can use it.

What sets it apart

Why it works

  1. 01

    The customer's own hand

Previews are generated on the shopper's photo, not a model's, which is exactly the doubt that stops a beauty purchase.

  2. 02

Stays up when a provider doesn't

Try-on keeps working through an AI provider's outage or usage limit.

  3. 03

    Affordable at scale

Repeat previews are reused rather than regenerated, which keeps the cost per shopper down.

  4. 04

A feature other stores can rent

Salon websites can add the try-on to their own pages, on sites the owner approves.
