Starlight Strokes

Hand-painted press-on nail brand

A press-on nail storefront that sizes every finger, so sets fit the first time.

A storefront for a hand-painted press-on nail brand. It has a size and shape picker built on the brand's own size chart, custom measurements carried through to checkout, gift boxes, and an admin for orders, catalogue and content.

The problem

What needed solving

Press-on nails only work if they fit. A size is really ten numbers, and a store that treats size as a single dropdown produces returns.

The solution

What we built

A storefront whose sizing works exactly like the brand's own size chart, with an admin panel the studio runs itself.

Core functionality

  • Size and shape picker, from Kid to XL across four nail shapes
  • Custom measurement entry, carried from the product page to checkout
  • Gift boxes and box sets
  • Size guide and shape comparison
  • Admin: orders, catalogue, sizes, content and settings

Business impact

What it achieved

  • No invented size data

Missing bands are marked 'sized individually'.

What sets it apart

Why it works

  1. 01

    Fit first

Sizes follow the brand's own chart, five numbers per hand, so a set is cut for the customer's actual nails.

  2. 02

    Never shows an empty shop

The catalogue keeps displaying even if the content service is briefly unavailable.

  3. 03

    No invented numbers

Where the brand's chart had no data, such as kids' sizes, the site says 'sized individually' instead of guessing.
