The problem
What needed solving
Laboratories rarely lose money on the tests themselves. They lose it on lost tubes, results nobody can trace, corrections that overwrite the original, reports that go out without a second check, and a day's takings that never quite reconcile.
The solution
What we built
One system for the whole laboratory day, from registration and tube labels to verified results, delivered reports and the day's accounts, designed so no record can be quietly changed.
Core functionality
- Patient registration, test orders and tube labels
- Every hand-over of a specimen recorded, with rejections and their reasons
- Results entered at the bench or received from analysers, checked against reference ranges and critical limits
- Separate steps for entering, verifying and authorising a result, each with a name attached
- Reports delivered to clinicians and patients, with amendments issued as new versions
